Some of our projects

Creativity Mind Solutions is the recognised agency for the Digital Information Research Foundation for Gulf countries.

The Digital Information Research Foundation is involved in large number of partners both individually and also with other partners. Some of our projects are

NATIONAL GAS & INDUST. CO., KSA- Digital Project

Protege- Protege is a major chain of projects
http://protege.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl/
Protégé is a free, open source ontology editor and knowledge-base framework. The Protégé platform supports two main ways of modeling ontologies via the Protégé-Frames and Protégé-OWL editors. Protégé ontologies can be exported into a variety of formats including RDF(S), OWL, and XML Schema. Protégé is based on Java, is extensible, and provides a plug-and-play environment that makes it a flexible base for rapid prototyping and application development. It is a joint project involving major institutions such as Stanford, National Institute of Informatics, Japan and others. The DIRF was involved in the creation of plug in for the Ontology project shared from the National Institute of Informatics, Japan.

DIRF was involved in the project on retrieval of image collection. JSPS-NSF cooperation: Metadata Mediated Browsing and Retrieval in Semantically-Rich Image Collection. http://research.nii.ac.jp/~andres/official/content_e.html#a27g2

DIRF was involved in the creation of the Electronic Medical Record package for the SolutionNet International, Singapore. The Electronic Medical Record package allows the end user to store, process and retrieve medical data including medical images from remote location.

A major ongoing current project is the creation of Digital Knowledge Encyclopedia. The project will introduce a platform for children in the selected schools to create knowledge through their perception and understanding of concepts in Geography and Human biology. The children will be encouraged to record their understanding in the platform to be created. The teachers will act as guides by placing the children in right track, supervise and manage them ; encourage to find a better way of representing their understanding and document. The system will use ontologies to represent, interpret, integrate and search concepts and knowledge recorded. The system will deploy the Web Ontology Language and convert to a semantically structured system. The concept server of the http://www.fao.org/aims/aos.jsp will be basically used. The AGROVEC CS work bench (http://naist.cpe.ku.ac.th/agrovoc) will be the base of the project.
